Media Quotes
“McPhee’s carvings, however, have taken gemstone
carving to new heights of artistic merit; his work is
art ………”
City & Country Home
“Thomas McPhee …. Evokes the ancient Greek, Roman and
Renaissance styles and subjects in his finely detailed
etchings.”
Modern Jeweler
“An animal executed with a Durer-like accuracy and
elegance might be set near a figure that swirls like an
angel in one of Blakes mystical fantasies. There are
also hints of Escher and echoes of Bateman and
Colville.”
Ann Rosenberg – Art Critic The Vancouver Sun Newspaper
“His
own renaissance. An exceptional artist, McPhee has
expressed himself in a variety of media…..”
