“Cartagena de Indiaes” Statue with Muzo Emerald Carving “1492” – 1550 cts.  Approximately 25” high Statue is cast in sterling silver covered with 24Kt gilding.  The crown has over 40 carats of diamonds cast in 18Kt yellow gold.  The intarsia base was created by renowned Lapidary Artist Nicolai Medvedev using Lapis Lazuli, Malachite, Gold-veined Quartz, and Sugilite.

The characters in the Emerald are Gaia – Mother Earth, The Native American Woman, The White Dove, The Sea Monster, Raven Mask, Quetzalcoatl, Conquistador, and on the seal – Horse and Jaguar.
